BECOME A MEMBER OF WALIMU COOPERATIVE UNION LTD
Walimu Cooperative Union is fully owned by the members who form it (the Teachers) and it is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected during an Annual General Meeting which is held after every two year's term of office. The elected Board of Directors is supported by a team of 3 (three) Supervisory Committee Members who are also elected during the Annual General Meeting and may hold office for two terms if re-elected. The total fully subscribed members of Walimu Cooperative Union at the moment stands at 117 Teachers SACCOs and a total of 11,008 individual teachers have been served country-wide.
Any Teachers’ SACCO registered by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies is eligible to join.
Walimu Cooperative Union doesnot deal with individual teachers but through their SACCOs. Therefore individual teachers cannot become members of Walimu Cooperative Union.
